Dinner-Lecture "The European Union—Achievements and Challenges" By: Dr. Kyriacos Revelas, visiting scholar at USC from the European Union headquarters in Brussels. He is in the group of officials planning the next phases in the evolution of the European Union, including integration of new member states, common foreign policy, security and defense. As an official of the European Commission since 1981, Dr. Revelas has since then worked in the highest levels of the EU bureaucracy. Recently he has been Senior Security Policy Analyst working on European Security and Defense Policy, in particular, capabilities in defense industries, the European Defense Agency and the EU Military Committee.
