The
Hellenic University Club of Southern California
has passed the torch to the:
UCLA Stavros Niarchos Foundation Center for the Study of Hellenic Culture
and the legacy will continue with the
Hellenic University Club at
UCLA (HUC@UCLA)
The Hellenic University Club of Southern California,
founded by the prominent UCLA scholars Theodore Saloutos and Spiros Vryonis,
and other members of the community, was incorporated in December 1961 with
the mission to promote the study and understanding of Hellenic culture by
sponsoring events that feature distinguished speakers and artists, and to
raise funds for grants to organizations and institutions that promote the
Hellenic culture in Southern California.
In September of 2019, the
Board of Directors of the Hellenic University Club decided to pass the torch
to the:
UCLA Stavros Niarchos Foundation Center for
the Study of Hellenic Culture
and let UCLA continue the HUC
legacy with the establishment of a new
Hellenic University Club
at UCLA (HUC@UCLA).

The Board of the Hellenic University Club would like to thank everybody
who supported, for over half a century, our worthy causes.
